Technikgedanken dürfen das Spiel nicht blockieren.

Urlaub an der Ostsee ist besonders in diesen Zeiten ein absolutes Highlight.
Wir bieten hier Kurse wie das Kurze Spiel, Konstant besseres Golf, Handicap Hunter und viele weitere an. Der GC Curau liegt im Herzen Ostholsteins. Wasserläufe begleiten unsere Fairways, ein Inselgrün erwartet Sie, auch an Bunkern und Roughflächen wurde nicht gespart.

#Golf - ein Hobby für alte, reiche Männer, die gerne gemütlich in Golf-Carts von Loch zu Loch cruisen. Immer regelkonform. Mit Polo-Shirt, Chino und einer ordentlichen Portion Etikette. So oder so ähnlich sieht’s jedenfalls aus, das Klischee vom Golfen. Echter Sport? Auch das wird oft bezweifelt. Jede Menge Vorurteile - aber was ist dran?Um das herauszufinden, geht’s für Aminata auf den Golfplatz. 18 Löcher, Grün soweit das Auge reicht. Hier trifft sie Falk. Zumindest alt ist der mit seinen 18 Jahren nicht. Mit einem Golf-Stipendium möchte Falk nach Amerika - ein Weg, der hart ist und mehr als nur den perfekten Abschlag erfordert. Den jedenfalls gilt es für Aminata, die bislang nur Minigolf gespielt hat, in ihrer neuen Reportage zu lernen. Bevor überhaupt eingelocht oder sich in einem Hole in One geübt werden kann, heißt es für Aminata erstmal: Umziehen! Jeans sind auf dem Rasen nämlich No-go. Hier gibt’s klare Regeln. Polo-Kragen und Cap (mit Schirm nach vorne!) - ein Outfit, das schon mal gar keine schlechte Voraussetzung für die Golf-Platzreife ist. Reif für den Platz ist Falk längst, schließlich hat er bereits mit sieben Jahren angefangen Golf zu spielen. Inzwischen auf einer Sportschule, spielt Falk an sechs Tagen pro Woche - und trainiert hart für den großen Traum von der Karriere als Golfprofi, wie sie sein Idol Brooks Koepka lebt. Technik oder Kraft, was zählt mehr? Warum genießt den Golfsport in Deutschland eigentlich einen so anderen Ruf als beispielsweise in den USA? Warum stehen Frauen beim Abschlag näher am Loch? Und was ist eigentlich der Unterschied zwischen “Putting” und “Petting”? Das sind nur einige Fragen, die geklärt werden, wenn Falk und Aminata das Eisen auf Range und Kunstplatz schwingen. Der Slice ist vermutlich nicht nur der häufigste Fehlschlag, sondern wohl auch der Schlag, den man am häufigsten sieht. Nicht nur auf dem Platz. Auch auf der Range. Fast jeder kennt ihn. Der Ball startet geradeaus und biegt im Laufe seines Flugs nach rechts ab, um schlimmstenfalls für immer im Rough zu verschwinden.

Watch the TaylorMade Team athletes Tiger Woods and Jason Day explain how they hit bunker shots, and their differing philosophies to execute a plan to get out of the sand using the MG Wedge and MG HiToe Wedges. The pros go into detail about what techniques they use in their game and how they adapt depending on course conditions.

TaylorMade’s HI-TOE wedge lineup has been expanded to include a full range of wedge lofts from 50° to 64°. Featuring full-face scoring lines in the 56° to 64° and standard scoring lines in the 50° to 54°, each HI-TOE wedge also has an expanded toe area to deliver high-spin performance whether you’re taking full swings on your approach or playing finesse shots around the green.

The HI-TOE wedge offers three different sole grinds to match your style of play:

Standard Sole (50°, 52°, 54°)
The all-purpose grind that is perfect for full approach shots into the green. This sole is well suited for both normal and soft turf conditions. All of these lofts feature standard scoring lines.

4-Way Sole (56°, 58°, 60°)
New 4-way cambered sole with a mid-bounce design of 10°. The leading edge has less belly with a more blunt contour. This new sole has an increased trailing edge and heel relief—great for players with average or steep swings from normal turf and/or softer sand.

ATV Grind (58°, 60°, 64°)
Channel-cut ATV mid-sole with a bounce of 12°. The “V” shaped leading edge moves through the turf and sand more seamlessly for better contact.
